Cash, Check or Credit Card

Gifts to the GCCC Endowment Association can express deep personal connections. They can mark special occasions such as birthdays or anniversaries, honor friends or mentors or memorialize loved ones. There is no more meaningful way to celebrate an occasion, a friendship or a life, than to make a gift that will benefit others far into the future.  We will send acknowledgements of honorary gifts to the living honorees.

Gifts in Memory or Honor

You may be able to multiply the impact of your gift! Many businesses participate in a matching gift program where your gift to the association may be matched by your employer. Your gift could be increased from one to three times for each dollar contributed. Check with your human resources department for details.

Matching Gifts

You may be able to create more opportunities and give more back than you think possible!

The Endowment Association offers free legacy counseling in partnership with Commerce Trust Company and Western Kansas Community Foundation.  Estate and gift planner Josh Howard, J.D., of Clark, Mize & Linville, Chartered, can help design a comprehensive, personalized plan to carry out your wishes.  The planning addresses both desired family and charitable gifts as well as efficient administration.

Gift planning often reduces taxes on your income and estate, which can benefit both GCCC and you personally.

Legacy Gift Options:

·         IRA Charitable Gifts (a/k/a qualified charitable distributions)

·         Gifts of Highly Appreciated Property (such a grain or farm equipment)

·         Real Estate (retain life estate or testamentary gift)

·         Life Insurance

·         Charitable Remainder Trusts

Gifts in your will or revocable living trust may be left to GCCC as follows:

I give to the Garden City Community College Endowment Association, a nonprofit corporation, currently located at 801 Campus Drive, Garden City, Kansas, to be used for its unrestricted charitable use and purpose.

If you've already included the GCCC Endowment Association in your estate plan, please contact us, so we can thank you and ensure that your gift is properly recognized.

Stewardship

As a reminder of our obligation to effectively steward contributions made to Garden City Community College Endowment Association, we adhere to the following guidelines:

  • All gifts will be acknowledged in a timely and personal manner.

  • A contribution accepted with a restricted purpose must be used for that purpose.

  • If the Association finds itself unable to utilize a contribution for its stated purpose, this will be communicated with the donor so that an alternative usage can be arranged.

  • Whenever feasible, and especially with endowment gifts, annual impact reports will be shared with the donor.

  • Proper recognition will always be given to the benefactor and public recognition must be approved by the donor.

  • The value of any substantial benefits as a result of contributions must be reported to each contributor.

  • Contributions will be accounted for using generally accepted accounting principles, which will provide a consistent, timely and accurate reporting of all gifts to the association.
